M1 carbine accuracy???

    I would say average. Mine shoots gas check lead handloads 4" at 100.

    the idea was that the average person could not hit a torso sized target at 100 yds with a pistol / sidearm.

    most people can engage a torso sized target with a high rate of sucsess with a carbine / sidearm.

    there was also the added benefit of a higher capacity magazine available in the carbine.

    5" groups of 10 rounds at 100 yds should not prove difficult with surplus ammo.

    Most of the time it's the shooter thats acurate and not the firearm, I am a Rangeofficer/Firearms Instructor and when one of the guy's tell me his weapon wont hit the target I pick it up and 9 and a half out of 10 times I find it's the shooter. If I can hit with your gun then you should, now comes the fun part. I have to send out all the people that are shooting and give some one on one and that turns out VERY well. I know I have done my job when one of the newbies can keep up with me.
