Benelli Super 90

Hey guys, I have a 9 yr old Super 90 that has had about 3 boxes of 3" shells shot through and maybe another 7 boxes of Remington Sureshot 2 3/4 in shells.

While skeet shooting I fired the gun and there was a funny noise. The gun fired a ok. But when it pushes the next shell into the chamber it only goes about 3/4 of the way. you can tap it with your thumb and it will go ahead and lock.

The gun still fires fine, but it just won't lock the chamber. The ONLY thing I can find wrong is a rattle in the bolt. I got the gun apart and got the bolt out. The spring in the stock seems to be ok, it's very strong and responds well to tension.

My question is: How the hell do I get this bolt apart? It has a 1/4 silver pin in the top that appears like it could just be pulled out. However, I am afraid of damaging this part and it causing more problems later. On the top of the pin is a a straight line from the center of the pin to the outside. What does that mean? I take it to mean that maybe it needs to be rotated before it will come out.

I have no clue and the manual sucks. Any help would be appreciated.

    I have a person wanting to sell me the Benelli Super 90 Tactical. Pump or Auto action. Can I purchase a regular 26 or 28,30 " barrel for this ? If so , any clue where and how much..

    Yes, you can. I have several super 90's, and I bought a 26" "bird" barrel a few years ago.

    If you have the pump-auto combo, it is the M3 super 90, and you should be able to find a longer barrel for it, if they make one. It will run you about $200 to $300.

    You can buy from the factory or check the gun auctions and fleabay, since they do sell parts.

    So the tactical and regular Super 90 has the same barrel configeration?

    I dont think so, the M3 is a differant barrel type
    Then the m1 super90,I have seen other sizes for your gun but
    not a bird barrel 26-30

    What barrel is on it now??
    Benelli are great guns,but they sure nick you for the

    It has a 20" cylinder with ghost ring sights. I am asking cause my Winchester 1300 defender will not accept another 1200/1300 series barrel cause of the way it is made. Don't wanna go there with the Benelli.

    Select,,,, You can call benelli at 301-283-6981 and ask them if they make a hunting barrel for the M3. That may save you a lot of time.

    The barrel I bought is for the M1 super 90 model, and it uses the same barrel as the M1 field.
