    It is close, the trigger guard is a curled strap of steel and it does not have the buttstock . Any idea of it's age ? thanks for your help.zeke b

    My guess is that you have a no.35.Offhand Model Single Shot Target Pistol.Made 1907-39

    Or a

    No.36, made 1880-1911

    Or a

    No.37,made 1889-1903

    Or a

    No.38,made 1884-1903

    Unfortunately,good accurate records in regards to Stevens firearms is virtually non-existant.That said,a good photo would help tremendously in ID'ing your "found" Stevens.(you lucky devil you.[:D])
