rcbs primer pocket brush
Have you used an rcbs primer pocket brush?
Do they work good? easy? better than the reg pocket
hole cleaners? I am thinking of getting one to try
to make cleaning the pocket holes a little less of
a chore and a better job.
Thanks once again for your help.

Works good for me on my RCBS Trim mate. 0 -
I've been using them for years, they do a excellent job, much better then the other types of primer pocket cleaners I've used.
The trick to using them comfortably is to hold the primer pocket cleaner immobile in the left hand, ( mounted in it's holder ). The side of that hand would be braced on solid surface. The cartridge case , to be cleaned is held in the right hand and turned clockwise into the steel wires of the brush. It does the job quickly and efficiently. The only problems that I have encountered. is with cartridges loaded with black powder. The residue is much more difficult to remove.

I have come to dislike my RCBS brushes and now use Lyman pocket uniformers. Since they are preset at the level specified by Saami et al they do a wonderful job of cleaning, and all my primer pockets are very uniform, so inserting primers is easy and consistent. It's a hand operation all the way, but you can't argue the results.

The primer pocket uniformers are the way to go. Stick one in a cordless screwdriver and away you go. Perfectly concentric blueprinted pockets all the time, every time...

Another vote for the uniformer.
Sometimes if you are removing lots of material the flash hole becomes blocked. I suggest also using a flash hole cleaner from both ends of the case. Works great for me.0
