Hello ndeltaguns: Well I bought my Browning Gold Shadowgrass about 5 years ago and I've never had that problem. But then again, knowing how tempermental some gas autos can be, I clean mine after about a 100 rounds or so, after each week-end, or after hunting in the rain/snow. I apply a very thin coat of vasoline to the oring. Nothing worse than having a malfunctioning gun when the ducks are flying! I have used some mild scotchbrite and oil, to remove the build up on the mag tube. But since I've started using Blue Wonder I don't have to do that! Regards Dave

Try a thin coat of Bore Butter or other natural lubes made for black powder guns.Carbon does not seem to build on the like it does on petroleum based lubes.
