EasyGo thanks I am not sure what kind of wood the stock on it is made out of. A bedding job is something I would do eventually but have just been kicking around for a while. I'm sort of confused as to all the different types as well. Glass, pillar, metal bedding block, am I forgetting anything? I would like to be able to get the action out of the stock after hunting in the rain and whatnot so I could wipe it down and clean it of. Also, we push some heavy brush and thorn looking for dear and bears and I'm tired of all my stocks getting scratched up. This will be my first synthetic stock too. I think I am going to take a closer look at the NEF Ultra-Light( think thats the model) The only thing I don't like about that is the Ultra Light only comes in .243 and .223 I think. I'm going to do some more research now, since I just realized how long this post is.
