Italian shotgun info, please

I'm looking for any information on a single shot 410. It is a fold up, with the barrel release being a lever in front of the trigger guard. It is marked "Eagle Arms NY NY Companion" on one of the barrel hinges, and "M.A.V.I. Gardone VT Italy" on the other. The reciever is engraved, and appears to be stainless steel, or an alloy. It has a vent rib, and the stock seems to be of goood quality. I'll try to post some pictures later. I would appreciate any information you could give. Thanks, Dan

    I've got one of these in 12ga. It's a nice utility grade shotgun. I see lots in 12 or 20ga., not too many in 410. They're usually priced around $100-175, depending on condition. I don't know a whole lot more about them, except that I have seen an identical shotgun with the Beretta name on it. It seems everyone I've seen, in all three guages, has been full choke too.

    Thanks, Lead. For any one else interested(Ha), here is what I found. It was Manufactured for J.L. Galef & son, Inc in New York by M.A.V.I. Gardone F.T., Italy. Made from 1968 to date. Now all I need to do is find a source for parts. Dan.

    I have the same gun in 410 and have had it on the gun shelf for years. It has a dangerous flaw, in that once fired, the firing pin stays out after the breach is opened. If one is not careful and manually resets the safety, it will fire when reloaded when the breach is closed. I recently was thinking that it would be a great grouse gun for my daughter, so I got it down and was in the process of identifying it so I could get it fixed. I got the gun from my dad, and was always under the impression that it was a Beretta. Alas, I now know that it is not. If anyone can send me parts info, it would be greatly appreciated. I believe it will need a new sear
