7.92x57 No-Go? Shouldn't be very hard to find at all. Try Midway (www.midwayusa.com) or Brownells (www.Brownells.com)

Thanks guys, now for another stupid question; What's the difference between a go---no go guage and a field guage?

In a word "length" (measured from the bolt face to a referance point on the shoulder)
GO is the minimum SAMMI length (bolt should fall closed)
NO-GO is the maximum SAMMI length (bolt should NOT close under light finger pressure)
Field is a military gauge, used during times of short supply/heavy fighting. If the bolt will close (again light finger pressure) on this gauge the receiver is scrap, as the receiver seats/bolt lugs are mostlikely worn/damaged beyond repair.

Thanks Tailgunner, so which option should I look at for mearly firing surplus ammo through my K98, just for plinking only. Don't really want to spend any more than I have to (I'm cheap), but then again don't want to loose my face either (much more expensive)[:D] All three gauges are the same price through Midway.

Least expensive methiod is to have your local gunsmith check the headspace, should be less that $20. If you insist on purchasing a gauge of your own, I'd opt for the NO-GO (GO is primarly used when installing a new barrel/chambering). You can "fake" a Field by placing a shim made from a feeler gauge (can't give you the exact thickness off the top of my head) between the bolt face and the NO-GO, should that become necessory.
