winchester model 94 value
Guys I have a 1965 winchester model 94 in 30-30. I'm thinking about selling and was wondering value on it. It has a parkerized finish and a small crack in the butt stock. Thanks in advance.

All I know as of yet is its a Ranger model with a gold trigger, LNIB with all the factory papers and a box of ammo. 30-30. Any ballpark figures?

The Blue Book price for a 90% post-64 carbine (this one is 1974) is $165. Why not try to find a pre-64 carbine-should be in the $250-$350 range-instead? The deficiencies of the post 64 Winchesters are too long to list here (you can do a search) but suffice it to say you'd be better off with the earlier model if you can find one. Conversely, there's nothing wrong with the post guns as shooters except the flimsy stamped follower tends to encourage jamming. I'm sure more folks are going to chime in on this, so I'll get off. -Asa 0
