Old Rusty Guns, How do I dispose of them?
I recently received three old guns from a widower who did not know what to do with them. I am in the same boat. None of the three are serviceable. There is a Stevens pump 12 gauge, Eastern Arms single 12, and an unidentifiable .22 single. They are all rusted beyond recovery. I told her I could get rid of them for her, but now I don't know what to do. If someone needed the parts I could possibly salvage something. I thought of just taking a torch to them and putin them out with the trash. Any suggestions?
Thanks in advance.

As discribed, it won't be worth the shipping costs...I'd Pop into a local Gunsmith and offer them to Him as a Gift.....Maybe get a Box of .22 Ammo for them....Even being Rusty they will more than likely require a FFL Holder....So Cover Your Butt.....Best....

Some cities (assume police departments) offer various discount coupons for "turning guns in"---to get them off the street. I wouldn't think condition would make any difference. 0 -
yeh, wait until some anti-gun group offers $50 for every gun turned in.

mcneely, in all seriousness, if you live in jurisdiction plagued with PC droolers, there might well be a buy-back program. No reason not to turn these in - it's your civic duty! [}:)][:D]

A short time ago someone was on one of these forums asking for damaged or blown up firearms to use as teaching aids in a safety class they were involved in. Someone may remember that post or know how it retrieve it. 0 -
Use them for tomatoe stakes. The rust is good for the root. 0
