Mail Shotgun to Myself

I will be in FL next month and would like to mail an inherited C&R eligible shotgun to my home in IN. I have a C&R license. What is the best way to do this?

I would break it down if I could, and wrap it up nicely in a USPS Priority Mail box, seal it up real good, and send it on it's way.

Gun control is hitting what your aiming at.

Yes, Hairy I will be in Tampa. I knew you were in FL but didn't know exactly where. E-mail me if you get a chance. Just please don't embarrass me by asking if I have the 22LR conversion installed on my AC556!

Yes. A person may ship a firearm to himself or herself in care of another person in the state where he or she intends to hunt or engage in any other lawful activity. The package should be addressed to the owner. Persons other than the owner should not open the package and take possession of the firearm.

Thanks for the help guys. Providing I can break it down to a reasonable size, should I just mail it, say it's a shotgun, or offer a copy of the license? I am thinking of just keeping my mouth shut!
