    Well that is good news. I had seen in a gunbroker ad that the gun was going to be discontinued, and then on the Ruger website the catagory was not showing any mini's at all, and I was fearing that they were knuckeling under to the anti-gun crowd being so close to an "assault weapon". Where can I find these changes to the mini on the web? any links?

    I saw your post, went to Ruger's website, and can't find a thing
    about any new Mini Thirty features.

    Not doubting you, just wondering why they don't update their website.

    Ruh-roh Rorge,

    Out west, that thing is to Jack Rabbits what weedeaters are to unwanted grass. I'd sure hate to see them do that. I hope others won't follow suit with the M1A. I've not done any real research on it but I haven't found it to be involved in any major crimes.

    I must correct myself here, I did go to the Ruger web page, which is not kept up to date, and is blank with the mini's. If you go to the catelogue and download it there is an updated Mini series with a newer stock and a new open front sight.
    WHEW! I would hate to see any gun series discontinued, and that is what caused my knee jerk reaction to the rumor. Sorry.

    It is my understanding that the "Mini-14" is being discontinued...The "Mini-14 ranch" is being continued.. with "improved" iron sights.... I don't know about the "mini-30 model...

    RUGER HAS PUT NEW SIGHTS ON THE MINI`S AND CHANGED THE STOCK SOME. THE STANDARD MODEL HAS BEEN DISC. THEY WILL ONLY MAKE RANCH MODELS
