According to the 25th Edition of the Blue Book (on page 541):

"A complete set of the WWI and WWII Series standard grade models (6 guns) with matching serial numbers in NIB (New In Box) condition is currently selling in the $4500 range."

According to the Standard Catalog of Firearms, the WWI Series (Chateau Thierry, Belleau Wood, 2nd Battle of Marne, and Meuse-Argonne) were sold in Standard, DeLuxe, Special DeLuxe versions.

The book lists the two WWII Series (European & Pacific Theatres) only in a standard grade.

Adding up the values listed (New In Box) in the SCOF, it comes to quite a bit more.....

    Chateau Thierry (DeLuxe) - $1,350
    Belleau Wood (DeLuxe) - $1,350
    2nd Battle of Marne (DeLuxe) - $1,350
    Meuse Argonne (DeLuxe) - $1,350
    European Theatre - $795
    Pacific Theatre - $795

The total comes to $6,990. That's adding up the individual guns. If they're all in a set, with all the same serial numbers, and are to be sold as a complete set, I should think you could double that price......but that's a guess, and you'd have to find the right buyer.

Any other 1911 collectors out there who know the market on these types of sets?????
