    I don't think it will be an odd size. I got a Stevens #240 410 O/U. If you still want to know what size it is, let me know.

    dipits, it matches up to a 12-24 tap and die. Who did you order the screw from?

    dipits, go online to Numerich web page., e-gunParts.com. They list the parts the have for Stevens 24 and 240 model guns. I think the stock bolt went for $3.05. I don't think you will find one at the hardware store. A 12/24 is not a common bolt thread. Their catalog is on sale, too. It is good for reference on what parts are still availbe for the old guns. Their is another supplier out west, Colorado, I think, that carry parts. I don't remember the name off hand but I know it is out West. I live in Illinois, about 30 miles west of Chicago.

    Thank you .I appricate your going to the trouble to find this out for me.
    I got this bolt from Numerich . The thread was more like 1/4 in .With the cost to return and only $3.?? item return was not an option.


    I will now get bolt turned down and rethreaded

    dipits, give them a call. They would like to know the bolt they are sending to customers is wrong. Who knows, they may send you the right one for free. They have a Toll free phone No.. You got nothing to lose. Good Luck
