Revolving Rifle

I like pistol caliber rifles and have recently thought it would be neat to convert a big bore revolver. 16" bbl, wood forend and buttstock. Something would need to be done to deflect the hot gas away from the offhand forearm. To be properly done a new grip frame would need to be created or the original modified to facilitate mounting the buttstock.

Something like a Super Redhawk would be really neat because of the double action capability. Super Blackhawk would be more vintage looking.

Whaddaya think?

    I think it would be neat to do but not sure how much use it would see if I owned one. If I need heavy firepower quickly I would just as rather each for my NMSBH .44 than a rifle. It might see some use in the heavy brush though.

    Besides deflecting blast away from the forearm you should consider your face is a lot closer to the cylinder. Blast exiting the joint between cylinder and frame is also reflected rearward.
    These guns weren't popular as percussion guns.
