nosler
what exactly is "nosler" and why does everyone make such a big deal about it? is there a difference between nosler partition and regular nosler? ...also how is the remington accutip ammo?

Nosler is a brand of bullet.
Nosler makes several lines of bullet, Balistic tip, Partition, Solid base, etc. Eash has it's own place in the world of hunting and target shooting. The Partition has a duel core seperated by jacket material, the front core is designed to open relitivly quick, while the rear core and jacket penatrate deep. It is the first bullet that had this feature.
Note that bullet design is always a compramise between accuracy, penatration and expansion. Which one is "best" depends on the intended useage. IE people that are taking game that bites back at distances under 50yd have a different need than people that are taking game at 500yd who have a different need than people that are punching paper at 1000yd etc.
Some guys like a mag full of lead, I still prefer one round to the head.0 -
