Value of super low serial #'s
I own a colt special combat government .45 that usually lists for $1200-$1500. I was curios how much difference in the price it makes because it is serial #17. Any insights would be useful. Thanks

Daniel.... With that ser # I would estimate about $2500.00 plus, but it depends on the demand.
I was at an auction a couple weeks ago where a Colt Python with ser # 47 sold for $5200.00. That price is not necessarily indicative of the guns real value. It just takes a couple bidders to get in a bidding war to drive the price to unreal heights.
Other similar guns with much higher numbers were selling for about $800.00.

Thanks for the reply. I bought the gun from a dealer going out of business for $2000 a couple of years ago but its only had twenty rounds through it and I'd rather sell it and buy another gone I can shoot everyday. If anyone else has heard anything else about low serial #'s let me know.
