Does anyone like the Savage 110GXP3 with accutrigger? Thinking in getting one for hunting. Also, great website

I dunno about that particular model but the 10FPs shoot under an inch at 100 out of the box for 450. Accutrigger is sweet also.

Below is a 5shot group at 100 yards right after break in.
Bone stock out of the box before any mods.

I've got a 12FV in .223 that shoots just like Contacts group too. My dad has on old 110 in .222 that with handloads still shoots 1 MOA. Savage has a reputation for being very accurate for very little. They put their money where it counts. Most of the Savage Rifle packages I've seen don't run over 500 bucks. So if you see something over five in Savage look around, Scope packages included.

I've got a benchrest 112J in 22-250 that had a new fluted bbl and Canjar trigger when I bought it. It'll hit head shots on prairie dogs at ridiculous ranges all day long with handloads, of course. But my brother's plain-jane Walmart package .270 (Savage, I don't remember the model number but it's pre-Accu-trigger) is one wickedly accurate shooter. So much so that we developed a load for 90-gr hollow points so he could hunt p-dogs with me. Ya just can't go wrong with a Savage, in my experience.

Buck, please keep in mind that Savage still makes some of their Package rifles without the Accu-trigger. Spend the extra money (Usually $50) for the Accu-Trigger, and you will have an awesome rifle.

Thanks! I am still working on a load that will tighten up even more, last weekend with a 168gn Sierra Match King I shot a 4 shot group a lil over 1/4" pulled the 5th that put me about 3/4MOA. [:(!]

IMHO the Savage rifles are the most accurate brand straight out of the box. I had a 112 Heavy barrel single shot 22-250 that shot about 3/8" with handloads straight out of the box. Finally traded it because too heavy for my style of prairie dog shooting.
