weatherby and winchester ammunition
My father recently passed away and he left me 10 boxes of weatherby 224 magnum cartridges in the original boxes. They are 50 grain soft point, 55 grain soft point and 55 grain spire point.
In addition he left me 8 boxes of winchester 30-06 springfield cartridges in the original boxes. they are 110, 150 and 180 grain.
both the weatherby and winchester ammunition dates to the early to mid 1970's.
he also left me a display of weatherby cartridges in a lucite desk display. it has 8 or 9 cartridges in it.
can anyone tell me how much these items are worth?

I haven't priced the 224 Wby lately so have no idea what the going price on them is. The Winchester ammunition is about the same as yhou'd see it mail order, except that some people prefer the older head markings- Like SuperSpeed and SuperX and will pay a premium for them. 0 -
Larry, if the .224 are in the Fox box and it is in absolutely pristine condition, you can expect to realize $40 - $50 a box. Shoot the Winchester ammo . . . no premium attaches to those yellow / white / red boxes of that late date unless they are in some real exotic caliber or loading. The block brings anything from $25 - $75, depending. If it has the .375 predecessor to the .378, the high end pertains.
