Neumann Bros Coach Gun

I have an opportunity to bid on one, but all I've been able to find out is that it's Belgian-made and those guns could be anywhere from very fine to cr**. I'm looking for a shooter for Cowboy Action (low powder load). It looks reasonably good in the pics. Any ideas on a bid? Thanks.

    90%+ of the old Belgian made SxS shotguns were Cr**... figure out your odds[xx(]

    I've got an old Parker Quality grade (1875 patent date)that has little original finish and medium pitted barrels. Seems to me that for three to four hundred, you can get one like this and chop the barrels back to 18 inches and use black powder loads for it. The one I have is all there, no major damage and asidefrom needing a new pin to tighten up the action, should be ready to run, and you would have a legitimate, period gun, that for less than 5 bills including the chop and re-pin would likely turn some heads! Just a thought. I'm Belgian, and as much as I loath admitting it....Bert is correct as usual. At least 80% of the old Belgian damascene guns were relabels for various chain stores and are to be viewed with pretty serious disdain. The other 20% are though, in my opinion, superb quality firearms.

    Thanks for the input, gents. Since the seller never responded to my inquiry about the gun and being a half-way decent poker player, I looked at the odds, figured they weren't good, and ended up bidding on and winning a TTN Coach Gun for exactly what I'd have had to pay w/my NRA discount. The TTN has gotten excellent write-ups and while anyone wants to get a great deal, I don't mind paying for documented quality. Again, thanks for info.
