good red dot/ holographic pistol sight

My local club has a falling plate shooting league that goes on all winter (since the range is covered in three feet of snow it's hard to run other events this time of year). Anyway, I decided to enter the "open" class this winter and bought an inexpensive BSA red dot sight to mount on one of my handguns. No good. The dot didn't show up well, even at its brightest setting, in the glare off the snow at last week's shoot. I need advice on a quality red dot or rail sight that will work in these conditions(bright light on snow at high altitude). Thanks.

    Aimpoint or C-More sights should take care of your needs well. Good optics for about 350.00 or less.

    Hello Gilmore and Ultradot both have sights that have very bright dot on highest setting and hold up well even on slide mounted pistols.

    Have you tried some of those "shade tubes" on the BSA that you already have? I was told they will help but don't know for sure.
