    From TM9-1276:
    a. Insert ejector & ejector spring so that recess in ejector, when it is depressed, will line up with inside surface of the bolt to permit complete entry of the extractor.
    b. Insert extractor spring & plunger. Position the plunger so that its flat surface will match the inner flat surface of the extractor retaining lip.
    c. Place bolt disassembling tool on boltso that slotted tang of its pawl rests on extractor plunger. Turn thumbscrew of tool until plunger is depressed; at the same time, the ejector is depressed into bolt by the tool.
    d. Insert firing pin & extractor & remove tool.

Pain in the azz to do without the tool but it can be done with the help of a 3rd hand. If your using the bolt tool be sure not to make the most common mistake, the lever is positioned at the bottom NOT the top. You'll know it when you see it.
