Unusual S & W

Can anyone help by evaluating a Smith & Wesson - Mod 29 (44 mag)- blued - 3 inch barrel - unfluted cylinder - used but mint condition in original cardboard box. Has factory Pachmayer grips. I recall that it is a special model bearing a person's name (but can't now recall the name). Any ideas?

  Does the model number have a -4 behind it? The closest thing I see to your description is:
  
  29-4 Full-lug 3" barrel: Unfluted cylinder, Pachmayr SKGR grips. .500" target hammer, .400" serrated target trigger, red ramp front sight with white outline rear sight, 43.5 ounces. Product code: 101251. 2,532 manufactured in 1989. NIB $450.
  
  I could be mistaken, but I think the Lew Horton Special has a fluted cylinder.
