Taurus Pump Rifles/Carbines
Anyone know anything about these new production pumps from Taurus. Models are 62, 72, and 172. They come in .22lr, .22mag, and .17HMR. I was thinking about getting one in .22mag but thought I'd try and get some opinions first. So what do y'all think?

Fine rifles that are solid steel and walnut. I've used my .22 mag for years, no problems.

I own a model 62 and I have a word of warning for you and anybody else that owns these, the design of the ejector almost completly covers the next round to be chambered,, when you eject a spent round and look in the action all you can see is the tip of a bullet and an empty ejector. With a standard lead bullet and ejection plate being about the same color, To an unknowing eye, a quick glance can give the apperance of a cleared chamber. 0 -
The early versions of these made by Rossi were pure junk . Taurus newer versions are made much better , especially with fit and finish ,parts better made in new ones also. 0 -
MFI I would have to Disagree with you, my Rossi 62sa 22lr is over 20 years old and has never fail , it shoots anything I put in it, never jams , its a great little rifle 0
