.410 Buckshot Effective on Deer?
I already asked about the .410 slug, but what about buckshot? I know there are many better options than the .410 for deer, but do the .410 buckshot loads work pretty well? I saw some 000 buck
3-pellet loads that seemed like they might be okay.

A lot of states forbid the 410 totally for deer. There is a big difference between what will kill a deer and what is a practical and ethical deer killer. I can attest to the fact that a 22 long rifle or a 12 gauge #4 shot will kill a deer. Neither is acceptable for deer hunting. If you can limit shots to 15 or 20 yards the 410 might get the job done but considering the number of better choices and the relative inexpensive useable guns, I just can't see why you would place such a restriction on yourself.

Nope, too weak. Will maim but not kill unless applied directly to the brain.
