JC Higgins 16ga
I have a JC Higgins bolt action tube feed,16ga 26" full choke 2 3/4".
The barrel- JC Higgins 583 21, the recoil pad reads JCHiggins.I can't find any info on this. It's been listed as a possible- High Standard 10. Checked internet, gun books, parts dealers. The gun has a awesome stock, lots of dark grain 94% on stock 98% blueing, would like some info and value. I'm planning to list it on GB. Thanks
ps: cleaning my closets, my next one is worse.

Theres not much of a market for these guns.I sold the last few I had for less than $100.00.They were in real nice shape too.I would put your starting bid at around $100.00 and see what happens.Thats just my opinion. 0 -
Cross References show it as High Standard Model 10 as you said. May be tought to find parts, but try Gunparts Corp or drop an e-mail to Bobski, a memeer here. He is away looking after his dad, so it may take a bit, but he will reply. Great guy, very knowledgable. Good Luck. 0 -
Thanks Ken,I have the same thoughts I won't give it away. It may only be worth the money to someone who collects these old bolt actions. This one is in perfect condition and would make a nice addition to a collection. Thanhs again. Pro Gun 0 -
