Benelli or Franchi?
I`m in need of a new /used semi automatic shotgun. One that shoots a 3 1/2 inch shell.I have narrowed it down to these two. I can afford a Benelli SBE (not the SBE 2) in a used gun or the Franchi 912 new.
A friend has a Franchi and claims it has less recoil than a Benelli as he has shot both.I don`t know what to think.I can`t shoot both because I don`t know anybody with a Benelli. Any suggestions or opinions you fellers might have to further confuse me would be truely appreciated.

Benelli's seem to be the most popular right now, but I've owned two Franchi's and have been very impressed with them. Fit and finish, reliability, accuracy, all very good in a Franchi. Both companies are owned by Beretta now. So it's a win-win situation either way you go.
