Remington Dri-Lube for slides on autos

I have been using Rem dri-lube on the slides of my auto pistols (Springfield 1911, S&W SW99, Desert Eagle .50). Is this ok for this purpose? It seems like it flakes up a bit after it dries...is this normal? After cleaning with Rem Action Cleaner, then Rem oil and dri-lube on action parts I wipe the outside of the guns with a silicone cloth and put them in my cabinet. Please let me know if there is anything I am doing wrong. I searched for posts on Dri-Lube but could not find any. Thanks in advance.
