Help with cost on Ruger Number 1

I have a new in box Ruger Number 1 in 243 caliber. It is blue and has open sights---from what I recall it is a model 1A. My buddy wants to buy it from me and I would like to sell it to him at a fair price. I need to know what current dealer cost on this rifle would be so we can work on a price from there. (my buddy will get a bargain) When I bought the rifle I think dealer cost was over $500, but I cant remember exactly what it was.

  ATF has it. The last couple gun shows have had a few. Seems to be in the $525 to $600 depending on the mood, the rack dimples, how long they were lugging them around.

  I see Number One's in great condition around the $500 mark most of the time. I just passed up a .243 for $400, from an individual this week...if only it had been something else!
