Help With Glock NY1 Trigger please !
What is necessary to return a Glock 27 with the NY1 trigger to the standard trigger pull? I've found some sites that show detail stripping and I think I can manage the change, however I'm not sure what all is needed. Do I need the connector, trigger spring...just the spring or something else too?

You have the answer already, and the parts? You can use a standard 5.5 lbs factory connector or a 3.5 enhanced connector. (May I recommend the Ghost brand?) The standard trigger spring would definetely be a must, if that was changed too.
Now, remove the slide assembly and put aside. At the rear of the grip area there is a pin. With a suitable pin-punch, push that pin out. Now the entire assembly containing the connector, spring, ejector, etc. can be pulled out. Gently pry upwards under the ejector bar, and lft the entire assembly carefully, as it is still attached by the trigger bar to the forward trigger assembly, and it will bind somewhat on it. Don't force it up too much, just twist it a little bit at the rear, untill it clears the frame. Now rotate it to the left away from the connector, and it will separate with the spring holding the assembly. Now you can pry out the connector and replace it with the new "lighter" one. Remove and replace the small coil spring as needed. Now carefully re-engage the trigger bar into the plastic assembly housing and gently push back into the frame. Replace the cross pin. You are done. But if you know a Glock armorer, or somebody adept at Glock disassembly, that you have confidence in, Let them do it for you. They may choose to do it slightly different, like removing the trigger assembly too, but in my experience, it is not necessary to do that, unless the rear assembly binds too much. Just take your time, and it will be simple enough. Have fun.0 -
