? on Ruger Vaquero
that accepts the .45 ACP cylinder. Do these require the use of a moon clip? If so, which one fits it? Ruger's site has moon clips for 9mm only.
I'm in my natural state--confused. Help--please. [:D]

It's news to me that the Vaquero is being made with an interchageable cylinder in .45 ACP, it must be a recent development as it doesn't appear in my catalogs. It figures that it would happen, as they have made the Blackhawk that way for a long time. No, it doesn't use the half moon clips. Remember, this is a single action that loads and unloads through the loading gate. The cylinder chambers have been bored with a little shoulder at the case mouth to prevent the cartridge from being driven too deeply into the chamber by the hammer blow, and to provide for one-at-a-time extraction with the extractor rod. Otherwise, you'd have to remove the entire cylinder to load/unload. 0 -

Thanks for the info. Now I can spend my money for ammo instead of clips. [:D]

Hairy! It is a single action pistols. There is no way you could insert a half moon clip in the gun. 0
