Marlin .22 and J. Stevens A&T
I have recently come across a "Marlin 20-A" .22 Long rifle. It has an octagonal barrel and is in good condition. Can anyone please give me an estimated value?
Also, I have a J. Stevens A&T .22, with a barrel that starts out octagonal but changes to round. Not much information is found on it except that it has a sight on the stock that you flip up and acts like a scope almost.
I wanted to avoid purchasing a book as these are the only two antique rifles I have. Any information would be helpful. Thanks!

The Marlin Model 20 slide-action .22 rifle was produced from 1907 - 1922. Typical values run from $75 - $250 depending upon the graded condition.
There is no way to say what your Stevens is worth, simply because we have no way of knowing which specific Model it is. Stevens manufactured a bewildering number of different .22 rimfire rifle Models, and they run from inexpensive boy's rifles, to top quality target rifles.

The A&T signafies it was made between 1886 and 1916. These are pretty good guns to own because there are a lot of people looking for them. The sights are valuable as well, because they also fit the sharps rifle. HOPE THIS HELPS. 0
