Scope for Ruger 10/22???
Ive decided on a Simmons. (its just for plinkin')....Should I go with the 4X32 or the 4X28? I like the looks of the more compact 4X28 but how will they compare on eye relief and field of vision? Thanks Joe

Joe...... Simmons makes a good scope. I have a 10-22 with a Simmons Pro-Hunter 3X9X40. It works great for plinking and rabbits.
The eye relief will be about the same for both scopes, but I would get the 4X32 if its not a lot more. The extra field of vision makes a big difference.

Go with atleast a 4x32 . There is a big difference in the Simmons compact and the bigger 4x32 or 3x9x32 in the .22Mag line. 0 -
The larger the objective lens (28 vs 32) the larger the field of view. More importantly the larger lens will allow for more light into the scope giving you a brighter picture.

Try an Nikon Pro Staff 3-7X32. I have one on the same rifle and holds very good.

Have you thought about a red dot sight? With shade tubes they could be a lot of fun for plinkin.

I have a couple of the Simmons Rimfire Mag scopes on .22's and they work great. I would certainly look at that line and they are inexpensive. I usually mount much higher end scopes, but for .22's these are really decent. 0 -
I put a Red Dot on mine and I bought it for $49.00...... Don't forget a 30 round mag..... 0
