? on how much an SKS is worth

I've got a chinese SKS that I bought about five years ago. It's the paratrooper model with a shortened stock, the original cleaning kit that fits in the stock, and I've only put about a hundred rounds through the thing. It's a real fun gun to own, but I need some money at the moment and I'm thinking about selling it. Anyone know what a fair price would be? Also, I've got about a thousand rounds of Russian ammo for it, but I have no idea how much that would be worth these days either. Thoughts?

    Check the closed auction. These guns don't bring as much as they did

    I WOULD RATHER BE DUCK HUNTING.

    Here in North Carolins I'd say $175 for the SKS and another $80-$100 for the ammo. The flood of cheap Yugo's has brought down SKS prices. Regular Chinese SKS'a can be had for $125- $150 if you look a little. The paratrooper is more desirable and brings a premium. After the Yugos are gone we'll probably see a gradual rise in Chinese SKS values.

    Pres. Bush just approved sanctions on Norinco and some other organizations for providing arms and other support to them what wants to kill us some more. That should help boost the prices on what is already here.
