What kind of quality are Rossi pistols?

could i please get an opion on the Rossi mule eared sxs? i understand they have not been imported in years. i have a chance to buy one in like new condition for $200, good, bad?

Your best bet would be to get hold of a Gun Digest or a Standard Catalog of Firearms from that time frame, i.e. just prior to when Taurus took over Rossi. Both of the above publications are loaded with pictures of Rossi revolvers. Hopefully you'll find a picture of one your looking for.

can you give any more info ? i have a 1999 Standard Catalog of firearms that has several Rossi in it , may be able to find it but need to know more

Thanks guys I appreciate. Actually I did look in a Guns Digest from 1996, I think I found the one I was thinking of. I believe it to be the model 68 or 88, that is if the frame looks like the 518 revolver, they only pictured the 518 in the difest. I am thinking that ight mean the frame design is very similar. So I guess what I am looking for is a 68 or 88, with 3" barrel should anyone run across one.
