AR-15 L.E.O.
May I legally purchase a used AR-15 L.E.O., (KY resident)? Since the demise of the assault weapons ban I can see no logical difference in a 16" barrel L.E.O. and current production AR's with the 'Evil Bayonet Lug'. Of course, logic rarely makes law.

Yes, the LEO models are available to the unwashed masses, not just for the cops since the AWB has expired.

Thanks Chris! Should the price of AR's,(used), begin to make a gradual decline now that the market will have increased numbers of AR's? Weapons previously held as 'Pre-ban primo'are now just a another AR? Oh well, I can hope can't I?

Someone with much more knowledge will clear this up but if you are talking about buying a used LEO piece that was purchased new by the department, depending on how the orginal transaction went down, that AR might not ever be available to the general public. I believe it is a tax issue. Someone help me with this. I'm starting to babble!
