i just mounted my new scope on my old favrite but i recently moved and the longest range i can find is about 60 yds i used to live in the country and could shoot 500 yds out my back door however work required me to move so my ? is if i can only sight in at 60 how do i know where i will be at 150 roughly i want to be close so when i go coyote huntin ill atlest be able to hit one does any one havea link to a good ballistic chart thanks for the info ,jared

  i would just sight it in about and inch and a half high at 60 and you should be good . what loads aer you using ?

  im usein 150 winchesters thanks thats what i did i started at 3 in and worked it down util it was about 1.5 thaks alot for the link

  In my experience, the ballistic arch (they go up before they start to fall due to the twist of the rifling)will allow a bullet that is zeroed at 25-50 yrds to be a bit high at 100 and dead to nuts at 200 yrds. It works for me from a 14" .223 contender bbl to my Ruger #1 in .300 winmag. Regardless, the 30-06 is farely flat shooting in that grn bullet. Give it a try and you may see the same.

  If the centerline of your scope is 1.4 - 1.5" above the centerline of your barrel, then with a 30-06 or most any other cartridge with reasonable BC and velocity of at least 2700 fps, triangulating the bullets 1.5" high at 50-60yards should put you right on at slightly over 200 yards.

  The ballistics arch ? is caused by the scope mounting system.
  ALL BULLETS NO MATTER WHAT THEY ARE OUT OF, START TO FALL TOWARD THE GROUND AS SOON AS THEY LEAVE THE BARREL.
