I've been told if you want to know what it's worth put it on gb., but i don't want to sell her. Can anybody tell me what a model 43 in 25-20 w/lyman reciever sights would be worth. I think that everything is original and the gun is in very good shape. excellent blue with only a very few minor stock dents. I enjoy shooting it except the reciever peep sight. For me, give me a scope or iron sights.

25-20 is the most desireable caliber. I personally think it would top $500.00 on the auctions. You see a few .218s and .22 hornets offered, but I can't remember the last 25-20 I've seen for sale. I bought my .218 without knowing any of it's history, so I think someone has worked the trigger and it's excellent. It has also been glass bedded and drilled and tapped. I mounted a 4X Redfield on it and it's a tackdriver out to 100-150 yards. A friend loaded me some 35 grain V-max for it. I think I'll keep it.[:)]
