SS109 Ammo

Is the SS109 ammo made by Hot Shots considered mil spec 855? Who else makes an inexpensive SS109 ammo?

Hot Shots Ammo is not considered military spec. Hot Shots is commercial specifications as are most other SS109 loads. If you want something as close as you can get to the M855 cartridge you might want to look into IMI ammunition or Federal/Lake City ammunition; but be ware that the M855 cartridge that was released from Federal/Lake City is marked for practice use only. Lastly, both of these ammunitions do not come cheap.
