    Were you a "paid" employee, or an unpaid volunteer? As a volunteer your retirement doesn't usually count, and you would lose your "active" status when you retire.

    That is so true you can do 20 years in Texas as unpaid and it doesn't count,.. So you can't get your concealed handgun as being a retired police officer. That sure SUCKS[8D]
