Question For CMP Experts
One of the requirements to buy a Garand thru the CMP is a copy of a CMP Club Member Certification Form, if your affiliated club doesn't issue ID cards. When I joined the Garand Collectors Association, I checked the box asking them to inform the CMP of my membership. Do I still need a filled-out copy of the Member Certification Form to purchase, or will the GCA's notification to the CMP work? Thanks.

As long as you checked the box to have the GCA inform the CMP, that is all you need. 0 -
Just to make sure we are talking about the same thing. You need to fill out the order form and purchaser certification and get it notarized. List the GCA as your affiliated club. You do not need to send a copy of a membership card or receipt as long as you authorized the GCA to notify the CMP of your membership. 0 -
All of the postings are correct. The CMP will have your membership info through the GCA. All you need to do is fill out the order form and get it notarized. The M1 is a great gun, good luck with it. I love mine!!!! 0 -
Thanks for the answers. That's the way I thought it worked, but it involves dealing with the same guv'ment that brings us the Income Tax forms, so I just wasn't sure. 0 -
That works for the GCA. However if you are just a member of an affiliated club you had better be sure to bring your card. I just was down at CMP North and don't you know they asked me for my updated card. Old one had expired on 30 Novemeber. I had my new card and they entered the new data. Beach. 0
