Is this common?

Have a Smith &Wesson 38 Cal Military, 1942 Vintage, walnut grips, Lanyard, Stamped "REBORD IN AUSTRAILIA" ON SIDE, ORIGINAL PARKERIZED FINISH.
IS THIS A COMMON PIECE OR IS IT RARE?
DOES IT HAVE A GENERAL MARKET INTEREST.

    Had one years ago, they were originally chambered for the British Commonwealth military cartridge of the period 38/200 aka .38 Smith & Wesson. After the war when they were imported and sold here as surplus, they had been rechambered to .38 Special, ( mine was a piss poor job, it look like they used a broken reamer ). Not sure what the current market on them would be as most military collectors would be turned off by the rechambering. The one I bought in the 70's, sold for under $50.

    I paid $35 for mine in the '60s. If you shoot .38 special in it, the cases expand and sometimes crack down the side. Not especially dangerous, but even the unbroken cases are hard to reload w/o resizing, and they'll crack the next time you shoot them.
