Any suggestions on where to get parts or a good gunsmith to send my 12 gauge to. Local gunsmith cannot get parts. Will soon need a spring for safety and just generally want to have it gone over really well. firing pins checked. All internal parts checked and replaced if needed. I hunt with and like to shoot this gun at skeet sometimes.

The Hercules model ceased production prior to W W II. You MIGHT have to have replacement parts fabricated.

Bill Goforth is extremely knowledgeable on all things I.J., hopefully he will be able to point you in the right direction.

the iver johnson hercules grade double is an extremely well built field grade gun, but some times they do need repair. there are no new parts available for them. sometime companies like wolfe springs has springs that can be used(springs would be about the only new parts available). sometimes there comes a point in every firearms life when it is best to retire them.

the hercules grade double was manufacture between 1924 and 1941. while not rare by iver johnson's standard they were a low production model probably less than 30,000 manufactured. they were offered as a ejector or non-ejector all the standard gauges and barrel lengths including 410.

Good morning Bighead T; You might try www.e-gunparts.com They do list some parts for the Iver Johson SxS. Plus they sell a schematic of the gun with the part numbers. A usefull tool to have when calling around trying to locate parts. If you want to email me by clicking on onlywinchesters to the left I can email you more sites to check for parts. Regards Dave
