Silver Chrome 9mm High power
I own a SC 9mm High power, which I wish to use in a service pistol shoot, it has adjustable rear sights, pachmir grips, was made in 1978 and supplied to Leperson in London. Would any one know if this model would have seen military or paramilitary service/special services/police. anvil6 PS The service match we shoot allows for different classes of pistols. I'm hoping that I might find any information on service issue/use of this model HP by police/special forces.

This gentleman is posting from Australia. I doubt very seriously that the C.M.P. regulations regarding the handguns used in service matches held in the U.S. would affect him.
Specially as the Browning Hi-Power was the official service arm for the Australian Military for many years. When I was collecting I had a Military Hi-Power in my collection that had been brought back from South East Asia, supposedly a Australian issue Pistol.
AS you describe your pistol "Chrome Plated" and "Adjustable Sights". I don't believe it would qualify as a "Service Pistol". The "Australian"? Hi-Power that I owned had a black paint finish over parkerizing and fixed non adjustable sights.
