I have used Timney triggers for more than 20 years. I love them. Best money spent on rifle improvement. I like the Bold, too, but I've used so many Timneys, I guess I'm more accustomed to them. The first one that I ever installed, I do remember being glad that little prayer was included in the package. I needed it. They're still listed in Brownells, I believe.

The timney is still available for the 03-a3. Make sure your safety works properly after installation.

I've used Timney's triggers since the early 70's and love them. They have however ruined me for factory triggers. I set them at 3lbs and they break clean and sharp everytime.

Pinhead is right on the money! Easy to install, easy to adjust and the cheapest improvement you can make to an old Springfield. I have two of them and still doing the job after 30 years.

Excellent choice for an 03a3 or any rifle. I've had one on my 03a3 for over 20 years. They make two models. One must use the original bolt saftey (sportsman?) and the other (light weight?) can use the bolt saftey or the saftey mechanism that comes with the trigger. I prefer to use the bolt saftey as the other requires removal of stock wood on the right side of the tang.

If you are not sure how to install or adjust, let a smith do it. The instructions aren't real clear.

I recently bought a spring kit made by them for an A Bolt and made for a great trigger pull. $20 for one little spring, but I would have gladly paid more.
