A friend and I are planning on attending a gun show in Vegas next month. We've got two rifles to sell or trade that can't be sold legally in our state of CA. I've never been to a "real" gun show and understand that we can buy and sell weapons at these shows on a "cash & carry" basis. How exactly does this work? If I find a buyer, do I simply take the cash and hand over the weapon? If I end up selling, I'd like ownership to be transferred legally. Otherwise, I run the risk of someone doing something dumb with a gun that's still under my name. What if I find something I want to buy? Are guns really bought and sold without background checks and wait period? Will they even sell to me being a CA resident? Three years ago I tried to buy a CA legal gun at a gun shop in Henderson. No go once I showed him my CA DL. 0 -
