Weatherby Mark 22
I can move the barrel very slightly from side to side at the end of the forearm stock. Should I put a dab of clear silicone between where the barrel rests on the stock underneath? Will this hurt anything?

I think it would be better to fix the problem instead of this. I will get my Mark 22 out and see what should be the problem tomorrow. Is it the removable magazine model, or the tube feed? 0 -
Old semi-auto, or new bolt? 0 -
It is the older semi auto 0 -
Does the barrel move with light finger pressure or with some force? If it moves easily with light pressure then the fit to the receiver is loose, as the barrel is not threaded but pinned. If it moves with modest effort more than likely your just bending or deflecting the barrel. I have 2 clip fed MK XXII's that are tight in the action and I can deflect the barrel with thumb and forefinger pressure at the tip of the stock 0 -
Yes, Dokey it is just like yours. I think I fixed it. I put a small 1/4" wide 5" long strip of adhesive cork tape and assebled it back together and no mor movement.
It was no big deal but it just bothered me.
By the way I spoke with Weatherby and they said to hold on to these older model semi auto Mark XXII's because the price is going through the ceiling. I don't know why but he sais it is.0
