US&S WW11 slide
I have a chance to buy a us&s slide all orginal (had it checked out) the guy is asking 600.00. it would rate about 80 to 90 % condition, would this be a good buy/ investment?, don't have pics. cause i don't have slide.PS does anybody have a US&S lower? I checked with GB did't see any.[?][:p][8D][:(][:D](did't mean to ask for info on lower on this topic will ask in wanted section, sorry)

IMHO to try to build a 1911A1 from parts is a risky way of having a nice pistol First off it will be harder to find a CORRECT Frame then slide and then say if the frame is 20-60 % condition or 90-100 % condition then the pistol will stand out as a Mismatched Parts gun on top of that there are some small parts that need to be correct as well as a hard to find Original WW II barrel in 80% condition . To pay $600.00 to resell You might find a buyer but I think you are close to top $$ on a 80 % slide. YMMV just my $.02 0 -
The odds that there is someone out there with a US&S frame, in 80-90% original condition, but with another make slide on it, are about a zillion to one. But, if you find the guy, that slide would probably be worth $600 to him.

I might be interested in the slide if it looks good and you don't purchase it. I'm the one in a zillion guy with a 80% US&S lower
