Winchester M70 sights

Hi all-

I just received a 1953 M70, chambered in 220 swift. I have a question on the rear sight and front sight hood specifically.

First, I was told a while ago that the fron sight hood must have the radius cut (if you look at it from the top) from both sides to be original. This sight hood has the radius cut in from the back (towards the chamber) but is flush toward the end of the barrel. Is this original?

Also, the rear sight is the long ramp style (not sure of the number). It doesn't have the flip down like I have seen on so many pre 64s. Can anyone shed some light on this?

    The front hood on my 1951 mod 70 is beveled on both ends. Your rear sight looks correct if it has 1 adjusting screw for the V height adjustment. The sight is a 22G

    I've seen a lot of both sight hoods and have always wondered. I was leaning towards the rear sight being original, but I wanted to be sure. The gun is an absolute cherry otherwise, so even if the hood isn't original, it's no big deal
