year manufactured - short or LR

just transferred a colt woodsman 22 from my father will go pick it up tonight. i want to stop and get shells but forgot to ask him if this takes the 22 shorts or LRs, or i believe there use to be a 22 long too

also any idea what year this was manufactured - serial is 202315-S - or value. it will never be sold but just curious. its in pretty good condition all original.

    You might want to try standard velocity 22 long rifle ammo it will have less wear and tear on a 50 + year old pistol and most time better accuracy.
